Frequently asked
- What should appear at the top of every invoice?
- Your name and tax ID, the client’s legal name and address, the invoice number, the issue date, the due date, the currency and exact total. Lawyers and accountants want this; you want it so disputes never reach lawyers in the first place.
- How do I make sure I receive the full amount?
- State the amount you must receive net of fees, and put the sending charges on the client in writing. Provide local account details in the client’s currency so they pay a domestic transfer, not an expensive international wire.
- What payment terms actually get paid faster?
- Net 7 or net 14 from a clear due date, not "upon receipt." Specific dates reduce excuses; vague phrasing invites 30-to-60-day stalls. Add a polite late-fee clause from day 30 — many clients pay on day 28 once they see it.
- Should I attach a payment link?
- Yes — a one-click link to a low-fee payment page closes the loop faster than bank-transfer details alone. Make paying the easiest thing in the inbox and you’ll move from 35 days average to under 20.
