Frequently asked

Do US citizens pay taxes while traveling abroad?
Yes. The US taxes citizens worldwide. The Foreign Earned Income Exclusion (FEIE) lets US nomads exclude up to $126,500 of foreign-earned income in 2026 if they pass either the Bona Fide Residence or Physical Presence test.
What happens if I have no tax residency?
Technically possible but practically risky. Most banks, brokers and DNV applications require declaring a tax residency. Statelessness on paper leads to issues with mortgages, retirement accounts and audits.
