Prova de fundos para vistos: o que os consulados querem de verdade
A prova de fundos afunda mais pedidos do que se pensa — que extratos mostrar, quanto tempo o dinheiro deve ficar e como apresentá-lo com clareza.
Tools we actually use for this
SponsoredOpen a Wise account before applying — consulates often ask for proof of stable foreign-income flow, and Wise gives you EUR/USD/GBP receiving details on day one. Wise ↗
Most digital-nomad visas require travel insurance with a minimum cover. SafetyWing meets the bar for every visa we tracked, and you can cancel monthly. SafetyWing ↗
Translating tax certificates, bank statements and notarised affidavits is the slowest part. Claude handles French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese translations cleanly. Claude ↗
Frequently asked
- How much money do I need to show?
- It varies by visa, but expect to demonstrate you can cover yourself without local work — often several months of living costs in liquid savings, or a monthly income above a set figure. Always aim comfortably above the stated minimum rather than scraping it.
- How long does the money need to be in my account?
- Many consulates want to see a maintained balance, not a one-day deposit, so they ask for three to six months of statements. A lump sum that appears the week before you apply can trigger questions; a steady balance reassures them.
- Can I use multiple accounts or currencies?
- Usually yes — combine statements from several accounts, including multi-currency balances, as long as each is clearly in your name and the totals are easy to add up. Provide a short cover summary so the officer is not doing currency maths under time pressure.
- How do nomads with money in motion handle this?
- Consolidate into one or two accounts a few months before applying so the statements look stable, keep balances above the threshold throughout, and use accounts that produce clean, official statements with your name and address. Predictability on paper beats a complicated true story.
