Mance e budget giornaliero negli USA per i tifosi del Mondiale 2026

I tifosi europei sbagliano le mance e fanno saltare il budget — quanto lasciare davvero, sorprese di tasse e totale giornaliero realistico per sede.

If your income is in another currency, use Wise instead of your home bank — at €2 000/month, the saving on FX margins is roughly €60 every transfer. Wise

Once your runway is solid, parking the buffer on a P2P platform (Esketit) at 10-13% beats letting it idle at 0.5% on a current account. Esketit

Frequently asked

How much do I actually tip in the USA?
Restaurants 18-22 % pre-tax for table service, bars roughly $1-2 per drink, taxis 15-20 %, hotel housekeeping a few dollars per night. The menu price is never the price you pay — sales tax and tip together routinely add 25-30 % to whatever you read on the page.
What about counter service and food trucks?
Tip jars and screen prompts often ask for 15-25 %, but you are not obliged where there is no table service. A dollar in the jar is fine; declining the screen prompt for a coffee is also fine. Save heavier tipping for the people who actually serve you.
Why is the sales-tax surprise so bad?
US menu prices are pre-tax, and rates vary state to state (and sometimes city to city). New York and California sit around 8-10 % combined; Texas around 8.25 %; some states are 0 %. Add tax plus tip and a $20 plate is a $26 final — budget on the high side, not the menu.
What is a realistic fan daily budget?
In major host cities during the tournament: $200-300 per day for accommodation, meals, transit and a few drinks, before match tickets. Less if you cook some meals; more in NYC, LA and SF, where one nice dinner alone clears half that. Track spending nightly on a multi-currency card and you stay honest.
